Boston International Clinical School provides outstanding clinical research internship program in India. These internships aim at giving the students practical training and experience in clinical trial management. The development of these practical training elements is supported by the partnerships of the school with organizations such as Boston clinical trials and Sanjay Ghodawat University.
This is where a Clinical Research Internship. India is truly needed. Unlike more conventional programs that only happen in classrooms, internships place the students smack in the middle of the fieldwork of the clinical trials business—anything from talking to patients and physicians to wading through regulation documents and dissecting cutting-edge technology.
In BICS, internship is a requirement and included in each program but not optional. Through our academic international tie-up with Sanjay Ghodawat University (SGU) and international tie-up with Boston Clinical Trials (BCT), USA, we offer students genuine exposure to practice both in India and outside India.
Students learn drug development, ethics, and trial design in lectures in class. Learning takes place in the field in trial sites, hospitals, and CROs (Contract Research Organizations) where students observe theory being applied.
Indian standards are controlled by DCGI and ICMR, while foreign trials follow ICH-GCP and FDA. Internship demonstrates in front of the students that ethics and compliance are being adopted in actual life.
Interns interact with principal investigators, trial coordinators, and CRO managers. These interactions can lead to career networks, and a job usually follows in a few months' time after graduation. Recruitments have directly been offered to some BICS alumni by industry mentors encountered during internships.
Without internship, they are "freshers." With internship, students graduate with trial experience, interview and first-job confidence. Example: Internship student who handled adverse drug reactions can answer practical interview questions confidently, which others can understand only theoretically.
At BICS, internships are not an optional add-on—they are an obligatory component of every program. Whether students are enrolled in a B.Sc., Diploma, Master’s, or Ph.D. program, they are required to complete structured internships as part of their academic journey.
BICS’s strong international collaborations set it apart from other clinical research institutes. Most notably, its partnership with Boston Clinical Trials (USA) gives students global exposure to internationally recognized standards and practices.
Internships at BICS are not restricted to just one type of organization. Instead, the institute provides diverse opportunities across the healthcare and pharmaceutical ecosystem, enabling students to find their career niche early.
At BICS, internships are not about passive observation. Students are treated as active contributors to the projects they join, making their learning both practical and career-oriented.
Employment managers seek graduates with prior trial operation experience in core disciplines. Intern-trained graduates need less trainings, and thus they are in great demand.
Interns with prior important experience with CRFs, EDCs, and pharmacovigilance systems are able to perform work from Day 1.
Internship assists in choosing Clinical Data Management, Pharmacovigilance, Medical Writing, Regulatory Affairs, and Biostatistics. For instance, an individual who wants to report pharmacovigilance can choose drug safety careers.
Since BICS is exposed globally, the students believe that they can mail their resume to the US, UK, EU, and Middle East.
